Nearly 180 Women Come Together for SEIFSA’s Reset & Rise
SEIFSA brought together just under 180 women from across the metals and engineering industry for Reset & Rise, its 2026 Women’s Day experience held on Friday, 14 August.
The morning was designed to be different from a traditional Women’s Day celebration. It gave women an opportunity to step away from their everyday responsibilities, pause and focus on themselves.
Led by Debbie Wheal of Routes Coaching, who describes herself as an unconventional coach, guests were taken through a process of self-discovery using her bespoke IDENTITY Workbook.
With plenty of humour and honest conversation along the way, Debbie challenged the women in the room to think about three important questions: Who am I? Where am I going next? And who helps me rise?
“SEIFSA celebrates the women who play such a crucial role in the often male-dominated metals and engineering industry. We wanted this year’s event to be more than a celebration. We wanted women to have an opportunity to pause, reflect and think intentionally about themselves and what comes next,” said Nuraan Alli, Marketing, Sales and Communications Executive at SEIFSA.
Women helping women rise
Reset & Rise also provided an opportunity to introduce guests to SEIFSA’s Women of Steel – Women’s Leadership Mentoring Programme.
The six-month pilot, run by SEIFSA in partnership with the Danish Industries Gender Inclusion Initiative, pairs emerging female leaders with senior industry mentors and combines structured mentorship, leadership development and professional support.
The programme forms part of SEIFSA’s broader commitment to strengthening the pipeline of women progressing into leadership positions across the metals, engineering and manufacturing sectors.
Made possible through partnership
Reset & Rise was made possible through the support of the RMA Prevention Programme, the event’s exclusive sponsor. SEIFSA extends its appreciation to Jessica Hutchings and the RMA team for supporting the vision behind the event and helping create an experience focused on women’s wellbeing and growth.
A special thank you also goes to Pam du Plessis and Invincible Valves, who added a lovely touch to the morning by providing gifts for the women attending.
And to Debbie Wheal and Routes Coaching, thank you for bringing Reset & Rise to life and creating a morning filled with reflection, conversation, connection and plenty of laughter.
Most importantly, thank you to every woman who joined us. You brought the energy, openness and spirit that made the morning what it was.
